Trigger Guardearly 17th century.  Several examples of this particular shape of trigger guard were recovered from Jordan's Journey near Hopewell in Prince George Countytwo from the same pit including this one and trigger guard 1143.  A third example of exactly the same shape as this one came from another nearby feature on the same site (not illustrated here).
