Today the Anne Spencer House and Garden Museum is an important historic destination for visitors to Lynchburg. The home is open by appointment for a nominal fee, and the garden is open daily, dawn to dusk, at no charge. School tours meeting SOL guidelines are available for all ages, and special events are held regularly to promote the purpose, mission and objectives of the Anne Spencer House and Garden Museum. The Spencer museum has a 501(c)(3) foundation, of which Shaun Spencer-Hester, granddaughter of Edward and Anne Spencer, is the director.
