Note: If you are unable to come to our
Richmond office to use the archives
and
would like our staff to process your request,
DHR can provide that service for a fee.
The Archives will invoice you the amount
due after completing a search; please
do not
send cash or checks in advance.
For DHR archives staff to conduct an Archives Search, the following three items are required:
Descriptions of services and the fee structures are included in the Archives Search Request form.

Two ways to submit requests:
The completed Archives Search request form, Conditions for Use agreement, and shapefile and/or marked USGS quadrangle map section may be submitted by any of the following methods:

Digital copies may be emailed to the DHR archivist at
quatro.hubbard@dhr.virginia.gov.
However, please note that for files greater than 2 megabytes in size,
please utilize the VITAShare file transfer (FTP) site at
https://vitashare.vita.virginia.gov.
