Historic Resources Board Member: Brian C. Broadus

Mr. Brian Broadus has led Train & Partner's historic preservation studio since 1997. He earned a Master of Architecture and a Master of Architectural History from the University of Virginia in 1986. Mr. Broadus' significant projects include the reconstruction of the Lexington Presbyterian Church; renovation of the UVA's 1908 Law School building (Minor Hall) and the Virginia Military Institute's 1929 Preston Library; restoration of the 1920 Charlottesville National Bank; and volunteering for the Preservation Resource Center of New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, advising homeowners in the historic Holy Cross Neighborhood of the city's Ninth Ward. He is also the architect for the restoration of America's first college infirmary at the University of Virginia. He has been president of Preservation Piedmont, is a member of the Virginia Society of the American Institute of Architects, US/ICOMOS, Preservation Virginia, and the Society of Architectural Historians. |
