State Review Board Member: Elizabeth A. Moore

Dr. Elizabeth Moore, of Martinsville, is currently Curator of Archaeology at the Virginia Museum of Natural History. She specializes in archaeological research on the relationships between people and natural resources with recent exhibits including "Lakota Women: Ancient Traditions in a Modern World" and "Three Cultures, Three Stories." Formerly, she managed a program in archeobiology for the National Museum of Natural History at the Smithsonian Institute. She is currently a member of the International Council for Archaeozoology, the Archaeological Societies of Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania, and the Council on Virginia Archaeology. Dr. Moore received her Ph.D. in Anthropology from The American University in Washington, D.C. |
