Mr. Tad Thompson resides at Tuckahoe Plantation and maintains the property through a partnership, directing and managing tourism, as well as the farming operations.  He served in the United States Naval Reserve and has been an attorney with several Richmond and Goochland County based firms, though he has now taken associate status with the Virginia Bar.  Mr. Thompson currently works with Johnson & Gilliss Wealth Management, involved in estate planning and management.  He has served on the boards of Dominion Aviation Services, Inc., Maymont Foundation, Science Museum of Virginia Foundation, Council for America's First Freedom, and Preservation Alliance of Virginia (APVA-Preservation Virginia), serving at various times as secretary, president, and treasurer.  He has a B.A. in History from Princeton, and a J.D. from the University of Virginia.
