Vale Club & Virginia Cooperative Extension Service.

The Vale Club was affiliated with the Virginia Cooperative Extension Service from 1934 to 1999. During this period, the clubs in the Commonwealth went through two name changes, becoming Extension Homemakers in 1972, then Family and Community Education Clubs in 1993. In 1999 the Fairfax County association of these clubs, which by the end of the 20th century had dwindled to seven small clubs plus the very large and active Vale Club, was dissolved, having served women in Fairfax County for over 80 years.
