DHR Grants & Funding

DHR administers several grant opportunities that provide financial and technical assistance to support the preservation and protection of historic resources in Virginia.

DHR uses a web-based grant management portal called WebGrants. To register for WebGrants and apply for any current funding opportunities, please click this link. Registrants in WebGrants will also be notified when there are new or reoccurring grant opportunities.

DHR currently does not have any grant programs available for rehabilitation or construction on private property.
